The mission of the Galveston Island Humane Society is to provide care, comfort and housing for the homeless animals of our island, to promote responsible adoptions, to offer human education programs, to sponsor low-cost spay/neuter programs, and to prevent animal cruelty in our community. Galveston Island Humane Society volunteers will be on hand at the ARToberFEST entrance at 23rd and Postoffice Streets with very important (and generally fur-covered) clients that are looking for a home!
AIDS Coalition of Coastal Texas (“ACCT”)/Galveston AIDS Foundation

ACCT is a state- and federally funded nonprofit organization in Galveston, Texas, which provides a host of HIV- and AIDS-related services. ARToberFEST benefits from the ACCT volunteers who will man the gate at 21st and Postoffice Streets.
Galveston Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (“RSVP”)

RSVP provides opportunities for people aged fifty-five and more to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers coordinate our Information/First Aid booth.
