What is ARToberFEST?

ARToberFEST is a fine arts festival presented by The Grand 1894 Opera House. It is an outdoor event located on Galveston Island in the Historic Downtown Cultural Arts District. The festival showcases the works of the finest artists in the United States. 
 
Our outdoor live event brings more than 8,000 people through Galveston's Historic Downtown Cultural Arts District, offering visitors the opportunity to meet with exhibiting artists, enjoy artist demonstrations and enjoy food and entertainment in a historic setting. Our neighbors on

Postoffice Street will be represented online at our virtual event - providing continued shopping opportunities.

 

When is ARToberFEST?

The event will be held Saturday, October 15 from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday, October 16 from 11 AM to 5 PM. 

 

Who May Attend?

Everyone! This event is open to the general public. ARToberFEST is a ticketed event. The cost for the in-person ticket is $5 per person. Children under 12 are free. All proceeds go to support The Grand’s Education outreach programs. 

 

Donations are greatly appreciated. Funds raised through this event are used to support educational programming at The Grand 1894 Opera House.

 

All artwork is purchased through the individual artist. Art is available at prices to fit every budget.

Can I bring my pet? 

People may bring pets that are leashed and as long as they curb their furry friends.
