Volunteers

As a volunteer you get to attend the festival before and after your shift for free! Your volunteer efforts help us support the arts and non-profit community in Galveston – Thank you for helping us make this event a GRAND Success!

Be Informed

As a volunteer, you are representing ARToberFEST, and people will come to you with questions. Prepare yourself by reading through our website and be sure to read emailed communications from our volunteer coordinator leading up to the festival. We want you to be prepared so you have the best experience possible! 

 

Dress for the Weather

You will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt, and you should come prepared with comfortable shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and a poncho in case it rains.

 

Stay Hydrated

We will have water at the Check in booth, so please stop in often to grab a drink.

 

Be Flexible

Because this event has many moving parts, it’s possible that we may make minute-by-minute changes. If you’re signed up for a specific duty and we ask to reassign you, please be open-minded! Please know that things can change and we love volunteers that are flexible.

 

Age Policy

We welcome students that are age 13 and above to volunteer in our Kids Creative Zone. Here you will assist our younger patrons with various craft projects. There will be at least one adult volunteer at this location at all times. The hours for the Kids Creative Zone are 12am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday! Come join the FUN!
